About First Pentecostal Church of Kilgore
Those who call First Pentecostal Church home make up a strong family of believers in the saving power and grace of Jesus Christ. We are a caring fellowship working together for the benefit of the church and all who come within its influence. Thank you for joining hands with us in this ministry to our community. As we give to others, His gifts to us will more than fulfill our needs.
WHAT
IS
PENTECOST?
"Then Peter said unto them, 'Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost'." Acts 2:38
01
Repentance
Repentance is a profound, personal change of heart and mind toward God characterized by a heartfelt sorrow for sin, a renunciation of our past life, and a sincere commitment to live by Grace in God's will.
02
Baptism
Baptism is burying our old self with Christ by invoking His Name in a watery grave. In Baptism, we are sealed in His mercy through the Name and authority of Jesus as a child of God.
03
Gift of the Holy Ghost
When Christ rose into Heaven, he instructed His disciples to wait in Jerusalem until they received the Promise of the Father. The gift of the Holy Ghost is God's Spirit giving us His ability and power to fulfill His will in our lives, and it is witnessed by speaking in tongues.
